harmon modeled jeff after himself and britta after his then girlfriend. did you notice the shift in her personality a while ago? some people attribute that to britta being more open since she's known the study group for a while, but knowing what i do about the character's inception, i doubt it :/

I did notice the change, but I also lost interest in the series for unrelated reasons so it never clicked.

I just kinda missed Britta while Britta was still there.

That makes a sad amount of sense. There was such an obvious shift in not only Britta but how the group treated her. That's really frustrating. And how he managed to get a whole chunk of fandom to hate on the representation of his ex and love on the representation of him. Yuck.

It's not this straightforward, but it's still pretty disturbing. Dan claimed that a big chunk of the audience did not like her when she was calling Jeff on his crap. He tought that the way to ingratiate them was to "beat on Britta" which he says came "easy" because she was based on some of his exes.
