Will's like a wounded deer trailing sweet-smelling blood all over the place; there's no way Lecter's NOT going to delight in fucking with that — on an emotional level, at least. That sort of conflict is like catnip to a lot of writers. Oh, hey, JUST like Clarice/Lecter — a ship that was considered the 'disgusting' realm of the nutty fan before Harris blessed it with the mighty wand of canon.

lol @ sane and classy. Have you actually read Hannibal? Most of the tv-show-canon fic I've read is sedate in comparison.
