It's not HP, but if you ever read Diane Duane's Young Wizards books, A Wizard Alone prominently features an autistic wizard. I know it doesn't help with HP, but, hey, if you ever wanted another canon...

Hah, I just mentioned that upthread.

Yay! She's also just released the revised version of the novel -- she's making them all have a consistent timeline -- and apparently she's taken into account some of the comments and feedback she got from autistic people after the original publication. Which sounds like it could be a good thing. :)

(Probably I should read the new ones at some point...)

Yeah, I haven't read any of them in a number of years, but I've kept them just in case (the first five or six, maybe).
