I don't know about reddit specifically but in general "red pill" is a bit of a meme among extreme right-wing conspiratorial types - your anti-government militia, white nationalist, racist, anti-semite types, all those sorts of people. It refers to the idea that one has "taken the red pill" - as in, from the Matrix - that you refuse to believe in the common mainstream consensus reality and that your "eyes have been opened" to the real world, whose realness is centered around whatever governmental conspiracies you believe in or racist dogma or rehashed fascism.

So presumably, theredpill is a community about how awesome racism is and how much Obama sucks.
