...Honestly, the reason I'd call someone a 'fake fan' if they were a fan of the movies has more to do with the fact the entire idea behind the series changed with the 2009 movies, and the emphasis of philosophy was basically dropped for explosions.

And even then, only if they were claiming to be a fan of the tv series as well, if they'd never seen it.

Why would someone call themselves a fan of television they've never seen? I didn't even let myself insult Twilight until I read all four books (okay, I skipped half the fourth book, bu seriously, I don't think I missed many important things).
