I don't really mind the Doctor doing scary manipulative things sometimes, when he thinks there aren't any good alternatives. But the way no one, including him, even seemed to be bothered to at least treat that course of action with the seriousness and weight it deserved really rubbed me the wrong way. Especially after the season came and went without any mention of or consequences from the fact every human who watched the moon landing is now a brainwashed killer which someone should have been affected by. It's like what happened to Adam Mitchell in season 1, but a hundred times worse.
