Lost World, from what I've seen, gets more shit because it has next to nothing in common with the book it's supposedly based on. The movie's not eye-bleedingly bad, but when basing a movie on a book, some people go in with higher expectations.

Not just that. Watch The Nostalgia Critic's review for it, he makes some valid points about the "messages" that movie portrays.

Still fun to watch, but it's a mess.
