See, I never watched this show because I thought it was about boring gross kids doing boring gross things. But tumblr having their obviously ooc love fest for KevEdd was kind of the kicker I needed to watch it. I figured that something with such a terribly South Park-like fandom must be good.

Maybe it's because I'm a new watcher that I find those yaoi tropes of wibbling Edd and seme Kevin or whomever to be kind of hilarious, rather than overwhelmingly boggling as I would with fandoms whose source material I've spent more time with.

The show was about three outsider kids who were collectively shunned by their neighbors, who spend all their time trying to scam them out of their quarters to buy candy. I think it was good for what it was.

The movie is great, because it finishes this arc (They are finally accepted by all the other kids)

Yeah, it's actually a pretty good cartoon. Kind of wish I had given it a chance when I was younger.

I loved this show when I was a teenager, so hearing that there's actually yaoi about it makes me half curious and half amused. I'm a complete slash and yaoi lover, but I'm not sure I could take Ed, Edd n Eddy yaoi seriously.

Is the dominant pairing really Kevin/Edd? Wow, that's not something I'd expect, I would have assumed that it would be between Eddy and Edd or something. Fandom never fails to surprise me with the pairings that are chosen!

I was surprised to learn That Kevin/Edd is apparently one of the most popular pairings. Like, c'mon, Kevin and Rolf are so totally Heterosexual Life Partners.

I was a bit disappointed in Kevin/Naz. She completely lost her sort of tomboy interests and began a sort of cliché girly-girl at the end, complete with "nagging" Kevin about paying more attention to his bike than her.

I like the increased activity too (though I find it a bit baffling. Never really saw the fandom revival coming) but I am sick to death of this "reverse"kevedd crap that turns Edd into a rapey creep

I'm surprised that the show has gotten this huge revival all of a sudden. It's just strange. I'm not surprised about the ooc slash though. This is fandom we're talking about after all.

I watched the revival unfold on tumblr. You can thank this girl here:http://c2ndy2c1d.tumblr.com/tagged/kevedd, her kevedd comics got inexplicably popular all of a sudden and now the fandom has blown up with tons of ocs and its own bnfs and cliques.

But yaoi cliches fit any situation! Any man who's taller than another man must be a domineering semi-rapist, and any man who's shorter than another man must be spineless and effeminate (though he may or may not put up a pretense of "feistiness" before his inevitable rape/seduction) and weep uncontrollably during sex.
