I think that would've been Recess and Rugrats? I didn't really notice how positive the teacher and the twins' mom were until seeing them again when I was older. I'm pretty sure that was one of the first times I saw such a masculine woman but it worked because their dad was the feminine man so it didn't seem different at all.
I definitely grew to be appreciative of their coolness over time.

I loved lil & phil's parents. They were so adorable together iirc. His mom seemed so easygoing too.

Betty Deville is definitely my answer too. I didn't even notice it as a kid, but watching it as an adult I'm all "Fuck yeah, Betty!" Charlotte Pickles, too.
