Can't do, sorry. Do I believe that you didn't want to come across mean? Sure! But I also see that it didn't read that way for a number of anons, and I only see it getting worse.

Huh? How's it not fair? It looks to me like you got the last reply to almost every anon in the thread. This means they can't reply back to you, too!

But please just let it drop - as you can see in the thread above, people are going to just continue it as long as they can.

... No, ok, you're right. It's just I don't handle well being disliked (I'm actually a very shy person), made a bad impression there and now I'm anxious. I should have thought better than to post in the tone I did.

Maybe you could bring it up in a day or two in a less inflammatory way? I think that if you focus more on expressing your frustration that a trope you don't like is supplanting one of your favored tropes, a lot of F!Sers would be sympathetic and there would be little or no backlash.

case, it's times like these that I'm glad we have you as a mod, because you are amazing and even-handed.

Hey,I'm one of the anons who replied [the one who mentioned having read a series that does A/B/O-ish dynamics well], and I just wanted to say that I wasn't offended. [Admittedly, A/B/O isn't really my thing and on re-read I can see where people took it the way they did...But that's not how I read it.]

Also, if you're still interested in a series that does a dynamic similar to that, but avoids most of the problems it's the A;pha and Omega series by Patricia Briggs [and it's a published book series that's very well written over all I think.] It's got some problematic stuff in it - but it's not related to the A/B/O-ish dynamics and what does read is problematic is very obviously done on purpose by the author and not presented as a Good Thing.

Btw: I'm sorry you got dogpiled. I...admit I hadn't read the other replies, and if I had I wouldn't have added to it. Sorry!

tl;dr: I was one of the anons who replied without being offended, and the series I mentioned is a published book series that's really good if you like supernatural stuff as a whole.
