(Anonymous) 2013-05-28 03:11 am (UTC)(link)Supernatural: Two brothers with a very co-dependent relationship drive around in their cool car and fight monsters while angsting about their manpain and attractively shedding single tears, and sometimes they have slashy subtext with some guy named Castiel. All the female characters die. The fandom is full of delusional tinhatters and really weird fanfiction.
Teen Wolf: A guy named Scott has an asymmetrical jaw. He also has two friends named Derek and Stiles who hate each other, but the fandom is convinced they are in love and Stiles is a "pack mom" (whatever that means). There is evidence to suggest that none of the fanfic writers on tumblr have actually watched the show.
Once Upon a Time: A bunch of characters from Disney movies are trapped in a town run by an evil queen, who is either the most evil villain in the history of television or a misunderstood woobie, depending on who you ask. The fandom is full of slashfic about the evil queen and her step-granddaughter, and there is lots of adoption wank.
Doctor Who: A time-travelling alien and his human buddies have adventures in time and space, and they fight an evil guy named The Master, and it was lots of fun until some guy named Moffat came and fucked it up. There is also someone named River Song, and no one can decide if she's the best character ever or the worst character ever.
Sherlock: A Sherlock Holmes adaptation that claims to be faithful to ACD canon, but really isn't. Everyone likes Moriarty, but no one likes Irene. The fandom has a hate-boner for every other Sherlock Holmes adaptation, especially Elementary. Holmes is played by Benedict Cumberbatch, whose name is fun to mangle in silly ways.
Game of Thrones: A (supposedly) realistic take on cliché medieval-esque fantasy worlds. All the characters are assholes and there's a lot of rape. There's an evil dude named Ramsay Bolton who raped and tortured some guy named Theon. There is also Dany, who has white hair and an army of dragons and seems like a pretty cool character from what I've seen of her. I have no idea what "Sansan" is, but apparently it's very controversial. Also, winter is coming.
