I actually see Vriska as feeling a lot of remorse, just not in a way that helps influence her behavior in the future. She wants to "fix things" with Aradia and with Tavros, but doesn't seem to understand that some things you can't fix. She knows she's not a good person, and she wants to be a good person -- she's just really, really bad at it.

Eridan, on the other hand, never seemed to realize he was being a bad guy while he was alive.
