The new chapters are basically a "fuck you" to every fan who loved the original series.

I haven't read the most recent chapters, but they are apparently a flashback to early in the series when Watanuki, Himawari, and Doumeki are becoming friends.. There are more lol married jokes about Doumeki and Watanuki, which are just sad considering what eventually happens, and in the original series it is a really, really important moment when Doumeki enters the shop for the first time, and the new series has him hanging out there for no reason. Maybe it will turn out to be an AU of the original series.
