This is a thing? I've personally never seen it. But then, if I'm being honest the only pairing I ever really see is Derek/Stiles (not even my OTP), so.

Personally I wouldn't mind reading a fic about the pairing. I like Lydia, and Derek's intriguing, and a good author could probably really make the pairing work.

You know what I can't stand for some reason? Danny/Stiles. I read ONE fic, and it was well-written and interesting and I yet I never went back to read any other Danny/Stiles fic.

I also abhor Kate/anyone (esp. Derek) and Peter/anyone.

I know I hate Danny/Stiles because I see absolutely nothing to work with from the show, only an author turning Danny into an issues character for their Gary Stu to resolve their gay conflict with.

I'm not a big Danny/Stiles shipper (Danny/Scott forever :P), but from what I gather people tend to pick up on Stiles wondering if Danny finds him sexually attractive and run with it. But I agree that Danny rarely gets characterization beyond "the gay one" which sucks because I love Danny.

I've normally seen him as being written as "the nice one" or "the sane one".

That sucks that you've only found him being characterized solely by his sexuality. I wish you better fic luck in the future.

Ngl Danny being "the sane one" and knowing about the supernatural the whole time but just shaking his head at all the nonsense is one of my favorite tropes. There was that one story that had him coming home and he and his sister would laugh about the ridiculous lies Stiles would try to pass off and it is probably one of my favorite scenes ever.

Same. Peter is my favorite character, hands down, and I can only stand to read fic in which the author sees him the way I do, i.e., awesomely creepy as all hell.

I was unaware anyone shipped this enough for it to be big enough to become an irritant. Like, where are these people? Did the Sterek shippers hide them behind the curtains? (And by curtains I mean werewolves and mansex.)

I've only recently begun to see a few fics pop up with this pairing. I don't get it, but it's not one of those arrrrgggh ships for me. But I definitely have those, so I know where you're coming from.

Holland Roden looks good next to anyone I find it hard not to ship Lydia with everyone and find some way to make it work in my head. Except with Derek. No. He's too terrible at everything to be paired off with perfection.

I have such a hard time shipping Lydia with anyone too. I just want her to get out of Beacon Hills and be fabulous somewhere where she's appreciated.

I feel like the only person who does not give a fuck about Derek at all. He's so boring and just seems to cause more problems. What I would have given for Laura to have replaced Derek. I feel like who've been interesting.

I didn't know this was a thing, but suddenly, I need it more than air. Maybe it's just my desperate need for Lydia to get far far away from Jackasson and Needy McStiles. Pretty much anybody would be a step up from those two (and I like Stiles, but I hate hate hate unrequited love tropes).

Or maybe I just think Lydia would be so thoroughly unimpressed with everything about Derek but his abs that it would ground him, and he would be more than happy to encourage her intelligence and strong will, even if only for his own benefit because god knows he needs a voice of reason somewhere around...nonono, I'm not going to ship this, I have enough rarepairs in Teen "Sterek or Die" Wolf.

I'm actually a big shipper of Lydia/Derek. I'm not sure why, but I just really enjoy the pairing. I find it interesting. I think they could be badass together. And no, it's not a ''desperate attempt to ship Derek with any female.'' I genuinely enjoy the idea of them as a romantic pairing.

However, with that said, there really aren't that many of us. Like, it is REALLY hard to find other people who sail this ship, so I don't think I can really understand your frustration. It's so hard to find Lydia/Derek shippers. We're like a dime a dozen. And also, maybe try the scrolling method?

In any case, I'm not sure what corners of the fandom you're hanging out in but I want to go there ASAP.

oh same. idgi. even allison would make more sense since she does have strong feelings (of hate) for him lolol, it doesn't particularly bug me or anything, i'm just like "oh. huh. okay whatever."

but then i don't think derek should delve into/is ready for any romantic relationship with anyone, male or female aside.. esp after kate and not having anyone help him deal with that since he doesn't trust anyone lol
