That sucks.

At least it's easier like you said to check with other food. My sister and I went to Wendy's the other day, received a chocolate frosty instead of a vanilla, were able to correct the order at the cash window, and got the chocolate one for free since they said they'd just have to throw it out anyway.

That just makes me wonder why anyone would want the abomination that is a vanilla frosty. (j/k, but seriously, I don't understand plain vanilla frosties and shakes for some reason)

My sister was the one who wanted the vanilla one. Personally I prefer vanilla too, but only vanilla that's been smothered with chocolate, or caramel, or both. For some reason my tongue really differentiates between 'chocolate' and 'vanilla that's essentially become chocolate', and the latter is far superior.

Though we both eat our frosties with french fries, so at that point the frosty really is more of a condiment than a full on dessert.

There's really nothing "plain" about vanilla. If you ever get the chance, try a taste of something that's supposed to be vanilla flavored before it gets the vanilla put in. It'll be sweet, but not as yummy. Vanilla is awesome.
