Please help me in my quest for orgasms, f!s

I want to buy a vibrator. Seems like a simple enough thing, BUT, there are approx. 5 million varieties from 7 million vendors, and this girl just doesn't know where to start.

Y'all have any models, manufacturers, or sites y'all would recommend? I would be ever so grateful for any advice on this matter.

Babeland is my absolute favorite place to shop both in store and online.

http://www.babeland.com/

Can I offer a suggestion, though? Try not to shop for toys online unless you know exactly what it is you want. Numerous times I went out and bought something only to discover that I hated the feel of it, or the noise level, or the intensity levels, or the weight of it, and so on.

It's really in your best interests to go to a shop if you can. If you can't, then carefully read reviews on all items before you purchase anything.

It really depends on what you're looking for. Do you want clitoral stimulation, vaginal insertion, a combination of the two? One of the sites I mentioned below, Babeland, has a fantastic resource section on their site that can help you choose what kind you want if you're unsure.

California Exotics seems to be the big manufacturer these days. Most sites sell their stuff, as do the stores. I've had a few of their vaginal vibrators and they're very good quality and I like the texture.

Adam & Eve, Babeland, and Eden are all good places to order from. IIRC, A&E is the one that posts life size photos of the products (unpackaged) so you don't have to guess if something the right size for you. It might be Eden that does that, though. Babeland is the best for reading customer reviews that often tell you more about a product than the product description. And Babeland doesn't censor reviews, like A&E does (or at least used to, I haven't used them in a couple years).

I received one of those little bullet-shaped "pocket rocket" variety ones as a gift (...I know) recently and it's great. It fits discreetly in the purse in case you ever need to take it with you, the only real downside besides the fact that it only offers clitoral stimulation (which is usually good enough for me) is that it runs out of batteries rather quickly. It came with one set of replacement batteries but those little round watch type batteries can be expensive. Also, it doesn't make much noise and has three settings (as in it vibrates faster or slower depending on the setting).

Since it was a gift I didn't have to buy it for myself but it was purchased at a sex shop in town. I've been in those places several times before without buying anything (my friend wanted to buy a vibrator and didn't want to go in the store alone) and some of them are clean and friendly with helpful staff, some are scary and creepy, thanks to the modern wonder of Yelp you can hopefully find a store that's decent. There's also several stores online but I don't know anything about that since up until a few months ago I never used any sex toy ever

Did you try taking the batteries out of it when it's not in use? I find that helps with most toys. That and rechargeable batteries, but I don't think those come in button/watch size. Rechargeables are also great because my Wiimote always drinks batteries and I can just keep some in the charger and swap them in and out.

We all enjoy different things so I can't rec a brand or even a shape. Do you like penetration, for example, or are you looking for a bullet vibe? But meanwhile, I can give you some tips you really ought to consider:

- If it's your first sex toy, please please please try to buy it in a store and ask the clerk for help into getting something you'll enjoy. Yes, I know it sounds a little bit scary. But they are for that, they are used to deal with clients with even the most infrequent kinks, and they usually are very respectful. There are women-friendly sex shops with female clerks: Look for them. Because you need to know the look and feel of what you're buying: The size of it, the noise it makes, whether you like the texture or not. THIS IS IMPORTANT. IT'S GOING DOWN TO YOUR LADY BITS. You need to be satisfied by what you're buying!

- Try to find a balance between what you can pay and something of a decent quality. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. Cheap sex toys are often noisy, fall apart, or both; and there are some that can even get toxic if you don't take care of them. Shelling out a little bit more is usually worth it.

- On the matter of noisy: Try to get something that will not bring down the house with its sound.

- Waterproof = Usually better constructed. Try to get something that's waterproof.

(Disclaimer: On the issue of physically going to a sex-shop - I don't know if you're a minor. If you are... well, I don't know either if they card you at sexshops where you live, but at least here they don't if you look legal.)
