Feel the burn of cheese!

[personal profile] mekkio 2013-05-30 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
I'm eating cheddar with habaneros in it at the moment and I'm sweating like a sinner at church because of it. It's good cheese though. Damn good cheese.

My question, when was the last time food has made you feel pain? Be it too hot, allergic reaction, food poisoning or just plain old too spicy?

I just finished eating fresh salsa with what felt like three whole jalepeno peppers chopped into it.

My mouth feels like it got flame-sterilized. Totally worth it. :D

I sprinkled some of this on my pizza Friday night and I still haven't recovered http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/e8fe/

Ghost peppers! Your poor mouth and stomach. What happened? Did the heat hit you the moment the flakes touched your tongue or was it a slow but horrifying build?

Both. Instant flame from when some of the flakes touched my tongue, but they didn't burn the roof of my mouth as much. I deconstructed my pizza after a few bites to get rid of all the flakes and then put more cheese on but the cheese I'd already had on there absorbed a lot of the heat and that was a slow burn. I would do it again, but I need to put a lot less on. I sprinkled it on like it was basil and that was not the right choice lol

Do want!

Yesterday, I think? Food makes me sick a lot. Stomach ache, cramps, that type of thing. I've yet to figure out any pattern so it's pretty common that food will cause pain.

I think Crohns disease can do that, iirc (maybe not). Also, you might want to try a gluten-free diet--even if it doens't show up in medical testing, you can still be sensitive to gluten and have it upset your stomach. Look into gluten-free food elimination diet.

I really like sour candy, especially things like warheads and sour skittles where your mouth feels pain from all the sourness.

Man, I don't even know. I tend not to eat food that I know will hurt.

I went to a party and filled up on a few beers and didn't eat food and I felt pretty shitty the next day.

Coffee gives me diarrhea something awful, but occasionally I can't resist a (small) dark chocolate mocha from Caribou.

Day before yesterday. I bought Pesto sauce for pasta because i thought "hey, i haven't had this in a while"

I remembered there's a reason for that when i ended up feeling bloated and queasy for the rest of the evening.

Well, Mom made this nasty macaroni pasta (not mac 'n'cheese) w/cheese and sausage (that had jalapeno peppers and cheese in them; it's okay, but not a fan of sausage and we've had it so much lately just looking at it make me want to gag) and a salad w/tomatoes, onion, radishes, lettuce w/italian dressing that has given me heartburn that I still have after eating it at 6:30 tonight (it's 10:30 now). Make it stop...........

The last time food caused me pain was a small order of Checker's seasoned fries about 2 years ago. I had been diagnosed with Celiac's and wasn't aware that the seasoning included wheat.

It sucked big time.
