Someone stop me from eating far too much than I really need. I keep feeling like "this week I will do fine". Then I don't do well at all.

My solution is to not focus on "this week I will do fine," and instead focus on "this week I'll do better than last week." Sometimes it's better overall, sometimes it's just better in a specific regard, like more vegetables or less takeout. And don't beat yourself up if you don't do exactly how you intended. Sometimes it's worth not doing as you intended every now and again if you get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

I know those feels, but you know what? I'm getting me an 18" pizza tomorrow. I am going to eat the fuck out of it. No regrets.

I acknowledge I will not live too long into my 40's living like this.

Instead on focusing on that, you should try focusing on eating more healthy food, especially snacks. Berries and fruits are finally in season again (depending on where you live of course), smoothies without sugar are awesome!

Try to make as many meals as you can yourself, that way you can make less meat and more vegetables. And as an added bonus you know exactly what you put in you, so it will automatically be healthier.

Oh and stop eating when you are full, you can always reheat (or finish) left overs later...

At least those are the things that helped me, I don't exactly know anything about your diet so you might already be doing all the things i said already.

I try and focus on daily and even then break it down. I'll look at the clock and be like "I won't have anything until X time" and then when I make it that far I'll reassess and either give in or, more likely, set another mini goal. It sounds silly but it works for me, breaking it down to little bits like that.

Sipping water every few minutes helped me when I had to shrink my appetite. I also drank a lot more milk than I had since I was kid; it's very filling, loaded with vitamins, and skim milk is fat free. Everyone told me to snack on fruits but I can't afford to eat that many pieces of fruit in one day.

I keep overeating too much also to the extent it even comes back up my throat. And it's every few hours; I'm not even hungry since I ate so much before.

I'm doing better though. For some reason, my attention has been caught by this character in a move, and I keep asking myself what would XX do? here and instead of eating 3-4 or more slices of pizza, I eat one and maybe some salad and I'm full w/o being so stuffed; and i'm trying to eat healthier. Maybe do that?

Also, you might try visualizing yourself eating healthier and less; if you can't visualize it, you can't do it.

A week may be too long a time period for you. Have you tried thinking "today I will do fine," or "this mealtime I will do fine" instead? Eating healthy happens one bite at a time.
