I just feel like I'm playing into the male-gaze culture and doing it wrong when I can't fap to my practical ladies. Instead I have to make them look completely over the top sexpot and that's something I am conflicted about. I'm kind of regretting making this now because apparently it doesn't make sense or isn't a big deal and I don't know. I just feel bad about doing it but I still find myself doing it.

You're not hurting anyone by drawing sexy pictures of your own characters. You're not hurting anyone by even liking sexy stuff. It's alright to like girls in sexy clothing, seriously. It's not like your saying that woman should only wear sexy clothes to match your own tastes. You just have tastes. You are allowed to have tastes. Don't feel bad about it.

Besides, sexy clothes have their place and practical clothes have their place in terms of character designs. It really depends on the character. You have to take into consideration what a character would wear due to their personality, job, and own tastes. Otherwise, all your characters would effectively the same.
