Yeah I hadn't read Battle Tendency and only watched it on the anime. I must say I was surprised they were trying to show a good side of a nazi but, then again, this is JJBA: it always sheds a different light on things.

Yes, I completely understand that. It also weirded me out a bit. More of a "okay, that's new..." reaction to me than anything else.
