I thought I'd erased that from my memory...I can't even look at that screencap without cringing.

That was such an awkward scene.

But that was the best part!

That entire movie was contemptible.

The part I hated most was that that called the Jabberwock "the Jabberwocky" throughout. But there was a broad selection of things to hate most from which to choose.

Can anyone tell me what is going on here. I kind of heard everyones reactions to the movie and stayed clear of it

I didn't mind this movie, but more because Johnny and Mia had good chemistry. I do see why it's hated, however.

That part was odd, I do agree.

Really? Because if someone paid me twenty million dollars or whatever to flutterwacken, you can sure as hell bet I'd flutterwacken the month away.

Aw, I didn't think it was that bad...though it was pretty bad. But I do think they should have cut about a third of his silliness away from that character and maximized his sinister madness, though. In fact, that's how I felt about the whole movie - it just didn't achieve that fine balance of absurd and disturbing that it was trying so hard to. And that fatal flaw was fully captured in that dance.

The Cheshire cat was fucking flawless, though.

Y'know, bad as it was, I'd been enjoying the movie for the most part, right up until that moment. It was such a pointlessly stupid, look-at-our-crappy-cg-for-giggles, DUMB looking moment that just jolted me straight out of any suspension of disbelief I'd managed to have. Ugh.

Well, it was Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, not Tim Burton's Alice in Underpants. So no futterwacken for you, no sir!

It wasn't even JD who did the "Futterwhatever" in this scene. It was a random dancer and lots of CGI. So it kind of baffles me you would lose respect for him over that.

Also, always remember that this is the guy who played a guy with scissors for hands. Burton's AiW was shit but Depp has always played stupid-looking characters.

It would have been ten times better if they'd tried to do American McGee's Alice with all the crazy designs going on in there. Because the costuming was awesome. The effects were ace. The Cheshire Cat was awesome. In fact I liked all the characters, but the scenes they were put in and the actual plot...sucked. Does that make sense?

I forgot about that.

Suddenly, this movie moves from "meh" to "WHY" in my mind.
Ugh.

I laugh every time he says that word. And I thought the dance was neat, though weird and unnecessary.

Plus, I feel like the only person who really enjoyed that film. :/

It was eye and brain candy. If you want a serious Alice in Wonderland....stick with the book. Or watch the older Disney movie.
