a lot of it is because of context - the kids had all either died or been knocked unconscious and in danger of dying, and then dirk pulls this off, and everyone meets face to face and it's so cool c: so many feelings

Haha my favorite part about the animation was when Dirk and Meenah high-five each other out of nowhere. That was great.
