It took me a while to get used to TS3 after playing 2. My biggest beef with it was the models; I got major uncanny valley vibes from them. Once I got accustomed to them and the broader gameplay, I really got into 3. I don't think I could go back to 2 now, because I'm so used to having a whole town to work with instead of half a street. And I think 3 carries on the quirkiness - the only funny thing I miss from 2 is Sims playing in bathtubs, but they'll goof off in front of mirrors and sing in the shower in 3, so it's pretty much the same for me.

Also, I love the expansion packs, though I know they're money holes. I recently added Supernatural, and though the zombies are annoying as hell, having a werewolf doing normal things during the full moon makes the pack worth it.
