I'm unsure of what a happier childhood has to do with anything, as Noel doesn't even look particularly happy in this pic. But I do think he could pass as a younger Snape :)

He's still too good looking for Snape. Snape's compared to a twitchy spider or a dying plant. It's not just greasy hair and a hooked nose, the guy had a shitty complexion and yellow and crooked teeth. And was probably really skinny.
