I don't know. He admitted to Kakashi that it wasn't about him and Rin, and he always knew Rin commited suicide on Kakashi's attack rather than destroy the Leaf village. He's insane, and he'll probably only find peace in death.

Kishimoto has wrought redemption out of crazier characters so far. I don't think Obito's out of the running compared to Gaara, Nagato, and (so far) Orochimaru.

I ship it too, Anon. My dreamwidth account is nothing but Obikaka lovin's.

I kinda hope that stays evil and finds redemption in his dying moments. Or peace in them. I think I understand where he's coming from. I can definitly see the character progression to this point--his death caused his mind to break, and Madara reshaped it and now Obito's insane and evil (and waaaay too sexy).


Anyway I was extremely happy about this (very predictable) turn of events. I want to totally have fun with the extremely evil Obito, but I am totally okay with Woobie-fied Obito if it means more ObiKaka in the world. XD
