some advice
I got this for $5 and that's about what it's worth, if only so I can dodge the frustration of running the expansion packs (which are admittedly very easy to run with Megaton compared to the pain of acquiring and then installing them with other versions of Duke3D.) I'll have to do a bit of research but I imagine it'd be fairly uncomplicated to get the addons working with EDuke32.
Apparently they whipped up some half-assed source port based on an 8 year old version of JonoF with a host of issues and has the bare minimum of features that are now standard in EDuke32. Sound issues (it's muddy and often certain sounds disappear momentarily), texture issues (especially if you have bilinear filtering on, and yes that's the only filtering option you get), several features available in the DOS exe having gone missing such as 3rd person view and a proper save/load (there's quicksave/quickload however), the list goes on. I haven't gone through the expansions yet, still working my way through the main game (just finished episode 3) so we'll see how they fare.
