ROFLMAO Of course he'll be redeemed. Pretty much every villain, no matter how much terrible shit they do is redeemed in this manga. ESPECIALLY since he used to be a good kid and was friends with Kakashi.

Obito's reason for turning villain was weak and overly melodramatic, he wasn't even that close with Rin and he was too good a person to suddenly snap.

I might have missed something, but I'm guessing it's an Uchiha thing.
