It's easy for fandom to sometimes feel like a complaint-fest even if you mostly enjoy it, since the good things that happen in the fandom/to the show or franchise are taken for granted, while the bad things that happen are incessantly discussed.

So...lets name some good things that have happened to your fandom that made you happy and stood out in your mind as surprising or above expectations. A canon development you like, good news from the author/producers, something awesome the fandom came up with...whatever. Doesn't necessarily have to be recent.

The season finale in Elementary blew me away utterly and completely. <3

I've been loving Elementary so much during it's first season and I really enjoyed the finale as well, I just adore how Sherlock and Joan's friendship has developed. I also love how much she's had to do herself as well, it's really nice.

Any scene with Arya in GOT. There was a two-minute scene with Arya & The Hound last week or the week before and I was very happy about it.

Oh man, I loved that scene so much.

Two of my favorite webcomics have had successful Kickstarters lately! Cucumber Quest's did well, and Girl Genius's is doing ridiculously well.

Dan Harmon came back to Community. P&R was renewed. :)

Not recent: I watched the Six Feet Under finale... despite it being hyped back and forth (to death), it managed to live up to my expectations and even surpass them <3

I was wondering if I was in a bit of a JPop slump, but I've been really impressed by a lot of stuff lately! Dempagumi.inc is incredible, Team Syachihoko's new song/music video is fantastic, Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku's Te wo Tsunagou is really amazing, and while I haven't really liked a 48 group single in months, NMB48's Bokura no Eureka is fantastic. It's like every time I wonder if I'm getting a bit over these groups they do something to blow me away and remind me why I love them.

And since no one else here is going to understand that, I'm still giddy over Gillian Anderson replying to me on Reddit <333

I read fic really sporadically, and Iron Man 3 made me want to start up again :)

Spoilers for Arrow's season finale... kinda?

Elementary. Just... in general. (-:

For that matter: Four of the shows I like didn't do season-finale cliffhangers (though still leaving things uncertain and bringing up new questions/issues/problems--I'm okay with that). It seemed like at one point every show ended every season with a cliffhanger, and I find that more frustrating and annoying than exciting. So, yay for at least some sense of closure.

I'm very happy with Orphan Black :D I'm sad this season is finished, but I am happy with plot, characterization, and actors (everything really). I like the BBC Tumblr Orphan Black has as well. The NBCHannnibal Tumblr is pretty funny also.

I am happy to know that one day Frank Miller will die. If he can be raped to death, I think that would just be the best.

Very happy about all the Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto interviews (as anyone who follows me on tumblr will be aware. SORRY) for Into Darkness. (The fact that they were constantly interviewed together isn't surprising, but...whatever, it still makes me happy.) Those two are extremely adorable and intelligent and crack me up. (Plus, they're pretty and I like looking at them.)

...Actually I really enjoyed Star Trek in general and feel like one of the few who did. But that's okay, and there's still plenty of beautiful gifs, art, and fic coming out of the fandom. I'm also rewatching TOS (slowly) because of it and having fun. It's great seeing new fans watch TOS too, so I'm enjoying seeing new reactions.

And I'm pleased with Hannibal getting renewed! (The tumblr fandom IS hilarious as well; I should've checked it out sooner.)

That's always nice to hear! I've seen some positive reactions on tumblr, but not much here. Everyone's opinions are valid but there's been little squee and I enjoy squee.

Those two are adorable together, tbh I really enjoy seeing any of the cast doing interviews because they all seem like they got on really well and I like that. Needs a blooper reel now.

Hannibal is something I am curious about watching but I am a little worried about how gory it is, I'm fine with gory things in general but if there is graphic and detailed depiction of people being cleaned and cut up for eating I might not be able to handle that. I dunno, I am undecided if I should go for it(and I've only seen glimpses of the Hannibal fandom on tumblr but everything I've seen makes me giggle).

Supernatural is back on track (in my opinion) and I am VERY excited about next season. (Also, Misha Collins is now a REGULAR! Words cannot describe my glee.)

For the month of May, I hosted The All Fanwork Gateverse Extravaganza and the masterlist is up. So many more fans participated than I expected, and it was all around a fun deal. :)

The second season of Zombies, Run! has been giving me so much inspiration to write fic, I'm on a huge roll!

Pretty much everything about Elementary. I was actually just thinking earlier that it was the show I was most excited about for next season. And it's weird because I never expected to love it as much as I do, but it's far exceeded my original expectations. Always nice when that happens. :)

Also, I'm...cautiously optimistic about Dan Harmon coming back to Community. I've never been as obsessed with him as some people are, and I also don't think season 4 was as awful as some people did, but I definitely liked the earlier seasons better so I'm excited to see what happens.

There's a new Pokemon game (and generation, and region!) AND a new Zelda game coming out this year! :D And an HD remake of a Zelda game I haven't played in YEARS!

Seriously, between Wind Waker HD, Pokemon XY (already preordered X! No idea about the version exclusives, I JUST WANT XERNEAS), and Link to the Past 2 all coming out THIS YEAR, I won't know what to do with myself.

Plus, E3 is in ONE WEEK HOLY CRAP and we're going to see at least SOMETHING of new Smash Bros, and potentially, maybe, fingers-crossed-holy-shit, new Zelda Wii U!

Also, Gunnerkrigg Court has been the cause of much happiness over the past few pages. Kat you precious bb <3

I love how the Tiger & Bunny fandom reacted to the first character revamp for the next movie not with "OMG WHY REDESIGN" or "We have to wait so looooong ;_;" but "OJIISAN LOOKS HOT IN SUSPENDERS!" and immediate additions to cosplay lineups. :D

Also not fandom-wide squee, but a friend of mine started watching yesterday, and I told him that episode 16 was one of my favorite episodes of anything ever because it's full of "holy crap, they actually WENT THERE". Last night just before I went to bed he updated and said that he'd watched it and was pretty much floored, and immediately started on the next episode, and so a bunch of us who HAD seen it all already were confirming "yes indeed, manly tears ALL THE WAY HOME from this point." XD
