I think context would help here. Is it just venting, or is it saying things that aren't okay, no matter how irksome those fandom people may be? Is it quoting flocked LJ entries? Because stuff like that is definitely hypocritical.

Unless someone is posting public entries calling for violence against the people they're complaining about, the things they're saying are OK. It's perfectly fine for people to vent.
