I'm a little torn because I agree with you but I also agree that the transcriptions I've read so far do nothing to make fandom accessible to people using screen readers because they don't identify the people or fandoms the secrets are about.

That's a fair point. I think a gentle explanation of that would have been a better choice, though. The person transcribing the secrets might not know the best way to do that for maximum accessibility (I know I wouldn't without some pointers).
