how is Penguindrum? It's one that for some reason I had a hard time watching the first few episodes of and then dropped with plans to marathon, and forgot to follow up on...

It really picks up. I had the same problem as you, but after the initial few eps, the plot moves forward and there are some really funny episodes as well.

I think it's a good marathon show. That's how I did it.
