Half of that time Shaggy was vegetarian though on account of Casey Kasem being a giant pussy. Thankfully that was dropped. Dude should be an omnivore.

Also, similar feels regarding why I had to go to my friends houses to play all those cool video games. (low college debts were better, thanks mom, thanks dad)

Casey Kasem insisted Shaggy be vegetarian for a prolonged period because he himself became vegetarian. He quite when there was a burger king tie in and wouldn't come back till they made shaggy officialy vegan.

I wouldn't use the word "pussy" but I think any actor who demands his character be changed to fit his morals is kind of whiny.

The vegetarianism only showed up in much later shows after Kasem himself went veg. The original show Shaggy'll eat all sorts of stuff in the weirdest combinations...

This secret made me go, "Awwwww." Those sandwiches did look amazing. But I've always wondered what a Scooby-snack tasted like. I mean, both Scooby AND Shaggy liked them so they couldn't taste like dog biscuits.

I was one of those kids... much to my parents' horror. XD Until one of our goats died for no clear reason (and thus wasn't declared fit for human consumption) and my dad seized that chance to take me with him to the, what's the English word? animal cadaver processing plant? I've never touched dog food since, and the smell will haunt me to the end of my days! :D
