The cover of "The Man Who Sold the World" on Nirvana's "Unplugged" is much better than the original in my opinion and I realize that sounds crazy because realistically David Bowie is the more talented musician and songwriter (not that I think Kurt Cobain is terrible), but just hearing that particular rendition, and hearing it from Kurt Cobain, the lyrics were more relevant and powerful. You get the sense that Bowie wrote the song about someone else and that someone else was Cobain because the song described him so perfectly

Also I guess I'm just into acoustic versions of songs idk

I think it's a lot better than original, too, but I admit I'm biased because the original just isn't my kind of music. :P

But yeah, I think all of their covers, especially the Unplugged ones, are totally awesome. He really had a way of making a song his own, I think.

Okay, I do think "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" was best performed by Mark Lanegan. But the Nirvana version is great, too. They both have really expressive voices.
