(Anonymous) 2013-06-04 04:58 am (UTC)(link)I don't want to jump on you, but do you see how this secret can be read as you defending fictional women while either demonizing or erasing the real women in fandom? Obviously slash stereotypes can be icky and character bashing is never okay, but if you are honestly saying you feel like the only person trying to combat those things, it means you're not looking hard enough for good fic or good writers or good fandom friends. Because they're already out there, and you're basically telling them they don't exist by generalizing about slash writers besides yourself (largely women) as you do in this secret.
