Re: Jesse Eisenberg/Romina Puga Controversy

Oh, Lord, save me. I think Jesse comes off as playful, funny, and teasing (somewhat meanishly in a few comments but not malicious I don't think--more it reminded me of schoolyard pigtail pulling of the girl you liked). I think Romina was incredibly unprofessional in her clothing choices, interview questions, and behaviour on the set.

Really a sleeveless, tanktopish number w/short shorts to interview him? What's up w/her demeanor? What's wrong w/sleeves (not even full sleeves) and pants, long shorts (to the knee) or a long skirt (knee length or longer)? Do the male interviewers show up shirtless or in a wifebeater and in shorts? I'd be willing to bet major cash no.

Why in Pete's name did she think that in 5 minutes she could get him to loosen up and have fun? Why did she think he wanted that or was tense? Calling his thumb fat? Saying she's gonna cry about this interview? If she thinks that's mean I need to introduce to my bullying coworkers (I quit my job b/c of the relentless shit directed at me, but I never cried b/c of it. Ended up hospitalized due to a heart episode 'caused by the stress dealing with it, but I never cried. Boy, and I think my skin is thin.). Seriously, wtf? I think she comes across as an immature, whiny, unprofessional asshole. I don't understand the people defending her unless it's totally 'cause she hot and people like that.

Seriously, why didn't she just show up dressed professionally, ask appropriate questions about the role and movie, thank him, and walk away? d
During the whole thing, I kept thinking wtf am I watching here? She comes off much worse than him. Seriously, woman, it's 5 minutes, not 10, 15, 20, 30 or even an hour.

And I'm not fangirling him either. I've seen him in the Social Network and I think that's it. I think that's the 2nd interview I've ever seen with him. I'm mostly indifferent to him.

Also, it's approximately 3 minute edited video that's designed to make him look like a jerk. Why not release the unedited 5 minute video? Would it cause the server to collapse or something? Or would it show that's not a jerk/less of a jerk in it? Oh, the horror, the horror.

Looks at what I've typed. I've no idea that I was this emotionally invested into until now. i think i'm sick of the subject. Oh, well. :) Sorry.

to be honest, I'm pretty sure I agree with every thing you said. adding on, I particularly disliked how when he brought up Carrot Top, she cut him off saying "horrible" before he was able to explain that he meant she counted on props. in the article she wrote, she chose to leave out that he elaborated, "no, it's a good thing." I'm no fangirl either; just like you I've only seen him in TSN.

Exactly! About the Carrot Top thing. Can people not hear that? What he said?

Seriously now, I'm getting the vibe she expected to show up looking hot and to have him fawn all over her b/c she's hot and he's a nerd(?) or something (I've seen his fans call him a nerd in gifsets on tumblr, iirc). She had some kind of expectations that he didn't meet and when he didn't, she got offended and decided to drag him through the mud. That "article" is a joke. It's tabloid journalism at its worst.

In the vid, she comes across so much worse than him it's unbelievable that anyone is attacking him and defending her actions.
