I'm not sure about "entering the relationship based on a lie" because that suggests people have a right to assume things about complete strangers (also, exchanging online messages or even going on a few in-person dates does not count as "being in a relationship" yet, in my book), but I think it makes sense to be very upfront about it the same way people are about being straight/gay/bi so people looking at your profile know whether to even bother.
