Favorite guitly pleasure show when you were a kid

So, adults/older teenagers have guilty pleasure shows, right? Ones they watch even though they'd be embarrassed if someone knew they watched them. But kids had them too! While guiltily watching "kiddy" shows that society dictates you should have grown out of is true for both kids and adults, there are also differences. A lot of guilty pleasure shows for adults are trashy soapy dramas, whereas kids' guilty pleasure shows are often shows that are either "uncool" (re: sappy, moralistic, cute, or dated).

How about you? When you were a kid, did you have any shows that you loved watching, but because they were supposed to be kiddy or uncool or whatever, you were embarrassed to like them, and you'd never let other kids know you liked them?

Yep, it was Pokémon. I...got the unfortunate insulting nickname "Pokémon girl" because of it.

My sister made fun of me for watching Yu-Gi-Oh! and ever since, I've had this weird compulsion to change the channel whenever someone walks in on me watching TV at home.

Between the Lions. I was way too old for the show when I discovered it, but the way the educational stuff was presented was so much fun, dang it! Aaaand I still might watch it if I happened to catch it while flipping channels. >_>

I'm pretty sure I started watching Between the Lions as a teenager. WORTH IT.

Telenovela soaps. I liked those mainly because of the catchy Spanish theme songs which I don't understand.

Zoom! My little sister loved it so I would just happen to be in the room when it was on. Sometimes I'd even hide on the stairs and watch it from there.

this is from way way back, but I remember in kindergarten at my school it was considered really uncool to watch clifford the big red dog. I fucking loved that show.

Power Rangers! I was a pre-teen when I started watching. I only watched it when I was alone. To my glee, I later discovered my best friend secretly watched Power Rangers too.

Dragon Tales. I was a little older than the target demographic. I would watch it secretly in the morning with the volume turned way down before my mom woke up.

My sister and I used to watch "Days of Our Lives" together, but then we stopped watching it when I entered high school. Either it got ridiculous and annoying, or it had always been that way but I didn't realize it until I entered high school.

Like ten years later, my sister and I were sitting down watching tv and a Days commercial came on and my sister started laughing. She was like, "Remember how we used to watch this show? I don't even know who these characters are."

Arthur :) As well as nearly everything on PBS to a lesser extent.

Any of those sitcoms with morals and messages and stuff (I was basically a teenage boy when I was a little girl: got cripplingly self-conscious about watching any heartfelt display of emotion, even though I loved it).

Actually, almost everything that wasn't either a pure humor sitcom (like Seinfeld), or what I believed qualified as a sophisticated, adult show, made me embarrassed despite loving kiddy stuff. I was a weird kid.

When I was in elementary school I was just above the age range for watching Blue's Clues. I did anyway. I liked Pokémon just a bit too long. (The anime, not the games. I really could never find it in myself to be ashamed of that.)

Now-a-days I don't really care if I watch kid shows.

I was just thinking about this one while I was getting the mail and singing the mail song to myself. I was 8 when it came out. My best friend (same age) was totally head-over-heel,s had the sheets and stuffed animals, in love with it.

It was a cute and lovely show. I haven't watched it since elementary school but I'm glad people still love it and remember it. I've found great gifs for it on tumblr.

All the wrestling matches. I was a little girl and I love love love the fighting and drama. It was really fun watching it when no one is home.

OMG I was just talking to my brothers about wrestling! When I was a kid I watched it a lot with my brothers but I never told my friends that I watched it with my brothers.
