As someone who can't stand the taste of anything artificial, I agree with you.

A friend and I went on a roadtrip. Knowing I like Gatorade to drink, she brought along some. OH HAHA IT WAS G2!! That stuff has sucralose in it and I can't drink it because it just tastes so terrible. I drink diet stuff only as a complete last resort.

HFCS is artificial too (it's made from corn, but so is ethanol) so unless you were drinking some non-existent energy drink with actual cane sugar then you weren't drinking anything with a natural sweetener in it
