I didn't understand this until I experienced it first-hand. My ex, when he broke up with my best friend, said that while I thought I knew what was going on, that no one else can know what happens between two people.

When it happened to me...my boyfriend and I were breaking up...he went to my brother as a friend and my brother only heard his side of the restore and it made me look heartless.

It's true. No one can understand why things happen or what's going on with a couple unless they're one of the two.
