(Anonymous) 2013-06-06 03:27 am (UTC)(link)Not to mention, when you have something really sweet, your body expects calories for it to burn, so you end up craving calories anyway with no-calorie sweeteners. Sort of defeats the purpose, no?
I probably wouldn't mind it in Japanese foods, since their "sweets" tend to be a lot less sweet than ours anyway. American sweets are ridiculously over-sweetened. There is no point in adding sugar substitutes in something that already has sugar in it. It's fucking absurd.

(Sucralose, though, ugh don't get me started on sucralose. I Can Taste The Chlorine.)
