lol. chill. they'll forget about it in a day or so, if they haven't already.

Yeah. If there's anything the Sherlock fandom is good at, it's letting things die off tastefully.

Isn't this fairly normal for tumblr though? If a show does a spoof of something then yes, it'll probably be in the tag. Shortly after it happens it might feel like it's everywhere, but give it time and your tag won't be full of Sherlock fans anymore.

(Don't get me wrong, they seem a bit overexcited...but again, this is tumblr we're talking about.)

I used to think that Kpop fandom was insane beyond hope, until I found BBC Sherlock tumblr fandom.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-07 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Is it mostly fuelled by ovaries do you think? Sausage fest with a main serving of Cucumberpatch. I can't explain it otherwise.

I'm not in the UK and I can't find anywhere to download the new series :(

Of Horrible Histories or Sherlock? Because the new series of Sherlock isn't out yet (I'm assuming you mean Series 3 because Series 2 has been out for years) and Series 5 of HH is on YouTube.

If people on tumblr give you feels, then you are too invested.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-07 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
I've got to be honest - I don't have one clue what's going on in this secret. Do I want to know what this mess is about?

(Anonymous) 2013-06-07 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
OP

not that much is going on really.

- sketch show does a sketch based on/parodying sherlock
- it is quite amusing but no more so than the rest of the episode
- i go into the horrible histories tag expecting to find stuff relating to the whole episode and instead find people flailing exclusively about that one sketch and all but ignoring the rest of the episode

it's petty, but at best the sherlock fandom is downright annoying and on this particular day i felt the need to vent.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-07 04:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you use Tumblr savior? If people aren't tagging things, you can always ask them.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-07 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
Not in Sherlock fandom, but I like them just fine. People are allowed to be excited.

And hey, if something gets Horrible Histories love, I can't object to it. :)

(Anonymous) 2013-06-07 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
Tumblr Savior....it is your savior just block sherlock

(Anonymous) 2013-06-07 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
OP

i can't anymore, it stopped working with the tumblr update and i can't upgrade to the new version because my computer is old as balls.

OP

(Anonymous) 2013-06-07 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
lmao, i made and submitted this the day that episode aired and now i'm just laughing at how angry i sound. the tag has mostly gone back to normal now, but it was good to have an anonymous vent.

i still hate the sherlock fandom, though.

Re: OP

(Anonymous) 2013-06-07 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
I...don't hate them exactly, but I am very, very, very sick of them barging in on other fandoms. Seriously, it seems like there are only one fandom I'm in any way shape or form they haven't jumped into and tried to shove it into the crossover yet, and that one is one I'm very, very loosely in.

Admittedly, I'm still kind of side eyeing them from "Seriously, you decided to invade a tag because the show won an award instead of Sherlock? REALLY? Then you do it on the wrong tag. -golfclap-'

Ooh, lemme guess: Downton Abbey fan? (Or, as so many Sherlock fans misspelt it, "Downtown" Abbey?)

(Anonymous) 2013-06-07 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
I miss the Horrible Histories cartoon. /irrelevant

I hadn't bothered to look at the reactions when HH did the spoof. Now that it's been brought to my attention, I too wish they hadn't done it but their flails are making me laugh because they were taking off the original stories, not the new fangled tv show which is apparently the center of the Universe and is some kind of blasphemy to say otherwise.

Go home, Sherlock fandom, you cray cray.

Are you sure? Because that's what I would've thought too until I actually watched it and saw they did the thing where the deductions pop up on the screen.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-07 01:15 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a joke, get over it. Your fandom's not that important.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-07 01:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Compared to what, exactly?
