She makes cool music that I like, and I kind of feel like a mistake when you decided to care about whatever k-pop fandom stuff you're talking about or whatever ginned-up controversies or whatever strange standards of taste you've decided to enforce here.

I just don't give a shit about that. I don't give a shit about whatever news statement she gave that caused whatever fandom frenzy, or what the hell crazy behavior in k-pop fandoms is happening. She makes good music that I like.

(I didn't like the new single much, though. It wasn't great.)

she said that the passion korean artists have cannot be found anywhere else and that they're more passionate than artists in the usa. I think she just meant it in regards to the whole training system followed by variety shows and whatnot, but it did cause a backlash.

I definitely don't have the kind of hatred you seem to have for her op, but I understand what you mean. I just get turned off by the whole baddest-bitchiest-swag-swag-yolo-swag-look-at-my-bling stuff. Apparently YG's main theme is individuality, but their recent music seems to be just cookie-cutter hip-hop than anything else.

I am so sick and tired of people fawning over her. She doesn't rap, she yells and screams like a banshee (and is VERY nasal/whiny), is rude and arrogant (saying Korean artists are more passionate than any others), and is responsible for the civil war in the Blackjack fandom. I wish her new single would flop, just so that people will FINALLY understand that she's not the be all and end all of k-pop rappers

I like her, and I think it's kind of sad that you want her to fail just because other people like her.

also, she's not the cause of the fanwar amongst blackjacks. the cause is that it's very frustrating to be a blackjack at all, and CL gets piled on a lot because she's an easy target. I would say dara is the center of many fights as well, but by no means are they her fault. same with CL.

I do agree with you about the video for baddest female though...and the song. to me it sounded like they changed a couple of lyrics of a GD song and handed it to CL, and same story with the mv.

Wow this is so weird as I was feeling like posting a secret about her out of the blue... (i'm not even into kpop fandom or whatever that shit is...just a korean who's sick of seeing her glorified all over my media sites).
But, THANK YOU. I don't like how she's just popularized as this like ultimate girl power symbol of badassery or whatever else bullshit (or at least that's how I'm seeing it). Honestly, like this is gonna get hated on, but honestly... I just think they make her into that "genius rapper, swag, girl power, badass, tough" rapper character because she's not that pretty and she's not like an amazing singer, but they wanted to do SOMETHING with her. Sorry. I'm not trying to start some anti conspiracy thing, and I really used to like her... but that shit's getting old.
