In addition to what others have said, there's also the fact that fics like these are written by adults. Assuming it's not a survivor writing as therapy, then we have a story written by someone who gets off on some pretty fucking horrible things. Adults should not be, and most often CAN not be, attracted to children, nor be excited by children in distress. It's not a matter of ykinmk, it's not an ideological issue: fictional or otherwise, healthy adult sexuality doesn't include children, so of course people are bothered by it.

And I don't care if it's 'shaming' to say that. People are most likely going to keep writing this sort of thing, but it's not on any of us to accept it the same way we might other 'kinks'. People reading it as part of a phase or curiosity need to know it's not an interest they should cultivate further, and people who have genuine pediophilic leanings do not need to ever get the idea that attraction to children is in anyway normal or accepted, lest they consider branching outside of fiction.

sa - apologies for typos, weird phrasing , etc. Am on tablet and still find it weird to communicate on this thing.

healthy adult sexuality doesn't include children

so how do you explain ageplay, then? that's one of the most common kinks out there. there may not be any actual children involved but it's still adults getting off on the idea of fucking someone much, much younger.

Do you know what else healthy adult sexuality doesn't include? RAPE OF ADULTS
