I can't tell if you're being serious or not. If a person who has watched the whole show can't tell for themselves if there's any logic to a fan essay or not, even if they complete disagree with it, they're clearly doing something wrong. It's not like professional papers where the writer has to do loads of research that the reader does not and therefore ~peer-reviewing~ is necessary to judge the trustworthiness of the research. In fandom, the writer of an essay only has to do exactly as much background work (i.e., watching the show in question) as the reader of the essay.
