Ok, so, lets’s summarize what I got:

- The brunet shota is Dave. Nobody will convince me otherwise until I play the game. On the first trailer he listened to “Here’s to You”, and now the title of the song “Sins of the Father” is revealed while Big Boss is choking him. In both ocassions, the tag “Snake is Back” appears before him.

- Thus the blond shota is Liquid. He has the smirk, the impudent lack of a shirt and the gloves. Also his tag about hating his fate is very Liquid-y. I will forever cry if he’s not Liquid, seriously, he needs to appear again.

- Yay, we can has Ocelot again. But dear god, Adamska, what happened to you D: Looking old there. Maybe the stress of being Shalashaska on Afghanistan?

- Huey is back too, standing (‘sup, does this mean we’ll see Strangelove?) and without his glasses. Emmerich men shouldn’t be allowed to not wear glasses 8( Still, looking hot as always, and I’m glad to see him again and being happier.

- I don’t care much about Kaz, but I cringed when I saw what happened to him. And the homolust was strong in the trailer.

- Spaghetti western aesthetics ftw <3

- We have a sniper with Eva’s bikini and Naomi’s face. MGS women usually kick ass effortlessly in while being the sexiest and that’s awesome. I love them :( I swear to god Quiet’s apparel wouldn’t bother me this much if it weren’t strongly implied she is also mute. I don’t trust male developers to handle this well.

- I liked Sutherland’s voice! It will take a while to get used to it as “Snake’s voice”, but he sounds good.

After all these, I shall still confess I’m not that hyped for the game and that the trailer is confusing and probably misleading. I’m paranoid when it comes to Kojima. Anyone remember the bait and switch he pulled when MGS2 came out? Yeah, he could do that again. It wasn’t so long ago when they were swearing The Phantom Pain was a new game from indie company Moby Dick by “Joakim Mogren”. Tomorrow we'll have a new trailer... that will be 9 minutes long, and it has been said most of it will be scene footage instade of gameplay. We'll see. And I guess we'll see again in a definitive way only when the game comes out :'D

First time I saw a screencap I thought it was a sequel for Red dead

It looks more like the scenario of For a Fistful of Dollars than Afghanistan, to be honest, yeah XDD

I was watching the trailer live and for most of it I was going "Okay, this has to be a new Metal Gear game, stop thinking it's a Red Dead sequel."

I ended up not watching, but going by tumblr, seems like Sony is bringing the whole house down.

I loved the trailer, like Big Boss (actually, MGS3 might be my favorite Metal Gear game. Not because of Big Boss specifically, but because of how epic the storyline and gameplay are) and the aesthetics were stunning, buttt I'm behind on the series so I feel left out.

I own both Portable Ops and Peace Walker but hate how Metal Gear plays on the PSP and couldn't finish them. *shame* So I'll probably just watch a walk-through of the first (which isn't nearly as exciting imo, but...eh, that's probably the only way I'll get through it) and play Peace Walker on 360. (Bought the HD collection a while back.)

Honestly this trailer has me more excited than anything else shown at E3; it looks like a great game (how much ass was kicked?) but I need to catch up first. Thank you Hideo Kojima for giving me an incentive.

Btw I lol'd at And the homolust was strong in the trailer.

This is MGS so that really isn't a huge surprise, but I felt it too.

The PSP is too awkward then? I've heard good things about playing Peace Walker on the PS3!

Same here, everything else at the E3 pales in comparison and I'm dying to watch the extended trailer. LOTS OF ASS WERE (was?) KICKED. We totally ought to catch up, I need to play PW (I've only seen the cutscenes).

The PSP just isn't for me. I have an earlier version with one analog stick and to me it was awkward as hell to play with. Bought it for MGS games and ended up never using it. >.> (Maybe I could've grown used to it with time, but it frustrated me and I didn't bother.) So yea, I'll play Peace Walker on my 360. (If I can get it working... and I need to buy another PS3.)

I wasn't even aware there was an extended trailer until you mentioned it! I'm a horrible fan. Thanks for that, btw. Have something to look forward to! (Let's both play it then! When it comes out we can squee about how awesome it is.)

I thought it looked awwwweeeesome and I can't wait to play it, but...

...Boy are there ever a lot of white people in Afghanistan doing everything important. /uncomfortable

The dudes in the telnyashkas were from the Russian army, who were in Afghanistán in the 80's. I wonder if we become friends with the local Taliban warlords or represent a different faction altogether. (Still problematic, ahaha |'D;;).

Duuuude, I thought it was Soviet-Afghanistan War in the 80s, but then some dudes in modern ballistic armour showed up and I was confused. Time-skip?

I don't even know with the armour and weapons here. MGS3 was somewhat reallistic when it came to the equipment (and even then it had a dude in a jetpack), but MGSV... Huey builds robotic legs, and then there are lot of things that look futuristic. But the game is supposed to happen during the 80s *confused too.*
