Aw, being 30 and over is great! And it shouldn't be like this, but people tend to take you more seriously once you're out of your 20s. But you're also at the age where it's socially acceptable to claim whatever age you like in casual conversation. So:

Eh, turning 30 was awesome. Being 29 sucked ass, because every time some middle-aged harpy would ask my age and I'd respond truthfully they'd give me a "sssuuuuuureeee you are" look or even come right out and ask "no, I mean really, how old are you" because ladies always be pretending to be 29, right?

Eventually I got tired of responding "no, really, I'm twenty-fucking-nine - everyone is at least once" (to varying degrees of politeness depending on the situation) and finally started responding "45", or however old said vain, vapid old bat appeared to be, as sardonically as possible. That shut them up good.

But hey, nobody ever lies about being 30, apparently.
