Chinatown is cool, and so is Japantown. Fisherman's Wharf is indeed a tourist trap, but eh, an hour or so there won't kill you and you can ogle the sea lions. Hit some farmers' markets for delicious food.

If you're able to take some day trips, Muir Woods has awesome redwoods, down the coast to Monterey is a gorgeous drive plus there's the Monterey Aquarium, one of the best in the world. Point Reyes is also beautiful coastal views as long as the weather cooperates.
