IIRC, Boyd and Erica were written out because that actors decided to leave the show (like Jackson).

Boyd's still there! Not yet, but there are photos of him on set, and the creator of the show said we would know more about him this season. Erica is supposed to be there as well, though nothing is quite sure... Same, he said she'd be important for Boyd's and Derek's character growth. Which is all nice and dandy but I'd like HER to have her own character growth and agency.

Jackson's actor did get a gig in Arrow, but did Boyd's and Erica's have anything else? I haven't heard anything about new jobs for them, so they could still be available for this show.

Gage Golightly who plays Erica had a pilot that wasn't picked up. One can only hope that she comes back since it wasn't picked up, but i'm not sure if that fits into the show.

Boyd is still on Teen wolf as far as i know.

Tyler Poser is Irish, English, & Mexican, and his character is culturally null. If he's POC enough for you, you have very low expectations! On the other hand, having low expectations can lead to happiness.

He actually is POC enough, at least for me, because he is a POC despite have Irish and English heritage as well. He also has some Native American in him too! You can clearly tell he is not completely white and it's really awesome he's a main character on TV show, even if the show itself has addressed his character's heritage.

The actor himself has said he thinks Scott's Latino:

Your character Scott McCall is an all-American guy. He's not Latino, right?
Well, his mom has got a dark complexion, so I think he's half-Latino. It never comes up in the show, but I'm pretty sure that he is Latino. I mean, look at the guy! He looks Latino, a little bit.

Like, it hasn't been addressed on the show, but I'm Latina and yet I don't go around saying that I am. Except for when I did just now. But still!

I was kind of upset too, but Jeff Davis has implied that she's not actually dead (since we didn't see a body).

I'm still sad about Erica though. Although I guess we'll see.

No, she was dead. Her body was was in the utility closet that Alison locked herself inside. Remember? Alison turned around, saw Erica's body propped up. Erica's head flopped down. Alison screamed. END OF SCENE.

We were definitely meant to think it was her. IMO, it's Stiles's friend Caitlin - we didn't get a long enough shot of the body to really see it properly. All we saw was blond curls, which both Caitlin and Erica have. My guess is that it was left slightly open in case Gage's pilot didn't get picked up - which it didn't. If it is, in fact, her body, I'm hoping they'll pull a resurrection gig like they did for Peter.

no but the secret was about 'the black girl' which im assuming was the girl on the motorcycle who (???) was also the girl who told allison to hide this most recent episode? or so i thought?

Erica could just be mostly dead. I'm not keeping my hopes up but I tend not to trust death scenes like that.

No thats not confirmed, as other anon said; we're def supposed to think its Erica. However the official TW accounts posted a pic of Erica onset with the words "surprise" under it plus Jeff Davis said that she is in later eps or something (latest faq with him on their official tumblr). TBH I think the Gage leaving was a big troll...Basically nothing on this show is confirmed until it happens, and even then it might not be what you think is happenning lol.

Gotta say, I agree with you. I liked The Girl! I'm hoping she'll come back or be revealed later - no body, no death, right? Or, even Dead Body =/= Dead.

I'm like 90% sure that The Girl will reappear at some point, because she's clearly not just a normal human because normal humans can't make bruises in patterns like that. So she'll probably come back and we'll find out that she's some kind of witch or something.

I think that girl will reappear again since we saw her in clip for the next episode even though she never showed up in episode two. There is some unused footage of her so we at least know she has more screen time.

Boyd is mostly back so we're good there. The thing is about Erica, we see her supposedly dead body in the second episode but the questions on tumblr said this about her. Besides the fact that I'm irritated she's defined by how she helps other people grow, this does say she's not just being killed off. I mean, her death would serve the purpose of causing Boyd and Derek to grow but the writer said no. Really it boils down to "do we trust the writer not to lie". My bet right now is that if she isn't dead then she's gonna be in a coma or something for a while.

So we have good and bad news, essentially.

I totally thought that was Heather, Stiles' friend that went missing from the exploding wine cellar. Ugh this show and it's poor lighting I can't ever tell what's going on.

Nobody in this show is dead until it is explicitly stated they are dead...and even then, they are probably not lol
