I like that Jigglypuff and Gardevoir get to be Fairy type. Maybe Clefairy will be too, who knows? Marill line, eh, they were fine as Water but if it gets more people to use Azumarill--which I love--then rock on. Especially if there are some physical Fairy moves; STAB super-effective against Dragons Azumarill would be great.

Also there's a rumour floating around it's immune to Dragon to which I would say 'it's about damn time something was.'

I am seriously hoping that the Clefairy line will get in on this fairy business; it seems like there's somewhat of a connection between the new typing and the moon (something about a moon beam??), so it would be kind of odd to NOT make them fairy-types.

Plus, thinking about Clefable and Pokemon like it either walling or beating the crap out of stuff like Garchomp fills me with glee ~~(mostly because I hate Garchomp, Dragonite 5ever)~~.

And yeah, I seriously hope something's immune to dragon-types. They managed to balance out psychic-types advantage against everything in one generation, makes no sense it took them six to potentially do that for dragons.

I'm less excited that it's Fairy type specifically (though that is pretty cool), and more just excited because yes new type! How will it interact with all the other types? It should shake the game up some, should be fun~

I'm very curious about that myself! I saw a rumor going around saying that poison-types would have an advantage against them (FINALLY, POISON IS GOOD AGAINST SOMETHING) but it's just a rumor. We'll see more in the coming days, I guess.

There's a little lobster omfg and the new butterfly pokemon and bringing in myths with fairy types WEAK TO STEEL holy shit and oh goddamn I hope it's moon stone related or something and I'm ALL WONDERING what the story theme for this generation is going to be aaahhhhhhhhh sylveon is so cute not so keen on fletchlings potential evolution there, but Chespin is soo going to be my starter

It reminds me of the female version of the pidgeon evolution in previous game. I was very disppointed that the female one was so plain :( The spots don't really appeal I guess? and teeny wings so high up on the body? :( Doesn't look very flying capable I guess?

/Has high fletchling hopes because it was so cuuute.

And type! One fully-evolved starter and two legendaries have been the ONLY ones to have that :D Granted, that rock weakness, BUT WHATEVER.

BUT LEVITATE HELPS OUT THERE?

Levitate offers immunity to Ground, not Rock ^_^;; Trust me, Rock works perfectly well on levitating Pokemon. ~~(TAKE THAT, EMOLGA 8D)~~ Wait never mind Emolga has Static, not Levitate. Same Ground immunity, though.

Wait, so it's been confirmed that the fairies will be weak to steel? I just saw something listing potential things they could be weak against. And oh nooo, that'd mean Dialga would still be a ridiculous tank. :CC

BUT YES, I AM SO HOPING THAT FAIRY-TYPES HAVE SOME SORT OF CONNECTION TO THE MOON, that'd be so rad and Fletchling is adorable and I hope it gets a kick-ass evolution but I freaked the fuck out when I first saw Fennekin because FENNEC FOX POKEMON so... that will be my starter.

I don't like Sylveon's design, but the fact that some old Pokemon may get an advantage from being dual-typed with it makes me a happy camper. I know some people were whining about the new type, though. "WAAAHHH HOW CAN FAIRY BE A TYPE THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE." Because dragon makes a lot of sense, amirite?

maybe it was just hearsay and I've gotten confused, but IMO that'd be awesome if it was because old fairy stories and fairies being weak to steel, especially iron etc etc so it'd just really appeal to me if that take and run with that tiny details

I'm not keen on the type name, but Sylveon is just so fucking cute as fuck so goddamn cute aahhhhh it reminds me of a little butterfly I love ittt
