Because it seems like they're in the past. The apparent death of this subgenre is one of the great hidden crimes of modern gaming. Wipeout was my favourite, but Studio Liverpool is gone now. F-Zero seems to have gone quiet and nobody's made an Extreme G sequel either. I tried out Nitronic Rush but it's just not the same thing. I don't like racers much normally. But slap on anti-grav and some 90s techno and I'm so there.

Oh well. Have some music.
